November 9, 2018
The contest is for teen between the ages of 13 to 18. Contestants must come to StonehamBank and ask a bank representative for an entry form. They can then create a video that shows the value of sound money management in a way that appeals to other teens.
There will be three national winners of the “Lights, Camera, Save!” contest. The winners will receive awards of $1,000, $2,500, or $5,000. The winner’s schools will also have a chance to win a scholarship to attend the 2019 Jump$tart National Educators Conference. The three videos will be posted to YouTube and become a part of a national campaign to make sound money management relevant to teens.
“Lights, Camera, Save! is the perfect opportunity for teens in our community to get creative and promote financial literacy, which we believe is vital to learn at a young age,” says CEO Edward Doherty, “We’re excited to see what the participants come up with, and hopefully, someone that banks at StonehamBank will be picked as a winner.
