Stoneham, MA, September 12, 2016- StonehamBank recently donated $5,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell. The donation will be used for Habitat’s Critical Home Repair Program.  This program reaches out to low income families, including the elderly, disabled and veteran community, that currently needs help to stay in their home by providing a wide range of home repairs to address health, safety and accessibility issues.

“Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell would not be able to build and repair homes for families in our community if it weren’t for companies like StonehamBank. StonehamBank has been supporting Habitat Lowell for many years and their commitment to giving back to the community both financially and with volunteer labor enables us to increase the number of families who benefit from our programs” said Brenda Gould, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell Executive Director.

“Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell has been an integral part in strengthening families within our communities,” said Edward Doherty, Jr., Executive Vice President of StonehamBank. “We are honored to be included on their truck and grateful of our partnership to help families obtain safe and affordable housing.”
