NORTH READING MA (AUG 2026) - StonehamBank proudly sponsored North Reading National Night Out 2026 on August 4, joining residents, local organizations, and first responders for an evening dedicated to strengthening community connections and promoting public safety.
Held at Ipswich River Park, the annual event brought together families from across the community for activities, entertainment, public safety demonstrations, and opportunities to engage with local Police, Fire, EMS, and community partners.
As a community-focused mutual bank, StonehamBank was honored to support an event that reflects its commitment to building strong, vibrant communities.
“What a wonderful event,” noted VP/Business Development Officer Shawn Kelley. “National Night Out in North Reading was an evening shared with all its residents and organizations that make up such a great community. Every person I met and spoke with was so welcoming and friendly. I was proud to represent the bank as the major sponsor of this event. We look forward to creating long standing relationships throughout the town and to making a positive impact within the community.”
The event held special significance for StonehamBank as it prepares to establish its presence in North Reading through its newest branch location on Main Street in late fall. The sponsorship of this year’s National Night Out provided an opportunity for the bank to connect with residents, local leaders, and organizations that help make North Reading such a vibrant place to live and work.
"Each year that the Community Impact Team runs this event we struggle with how to keep it all free for our community,” noted Community Impact Team Vice Chair Amy Luckiewicz. “This is really important to us, as it allows the entire event to be accessible to all incomes, ages and abilities. With StonehamBank’s sponsorship, we were able to meet that goal. Having representatives from the bank at the event too was a great way for them to meet our neighbors and be introduced to North Reading."
Throughout the evening, bank team members welcomed attendees, shared information about the bank's community initiatives, and connected with residents and local leaders. The event highlighted the importance of collaboration, trust, and civic engagement, values that align closely with StonehamBank's mission and community banking philosophy.
