Stoneham, MA (APR 2025)— StonehamBank recently announced its fifth annual Small Business Spotlight Grant for 2025.
“Whether it’s the joy of friendly service or a vital resource within arm’s reach, our neighborhoods depend on small businesses,” said CEO/President Edward F. Doherty, Jr. “We work to be partners with our business customers because as a local bank, we understand the needs and goals of small businesses in our community. That’s why we are celebrating National Small Business Week by recognizing the integral role these businesses play and celebrating one of our community members.”
Doherty also noted that “as a community bank, we have a responsibility to support the economic well-being of the neighborhoods in which we live and work. And we know that local businesses play a huge role in supporting the activities and agencies that create vibrant and thriving communities. Their contributions help fund local events, support schools and non-profits, and create a sense of community pride and cohesion.”
Local business owners are encouraged to apply for the Small Business Spotlight Grant, which this year includes the $5,000 grant, and a series of four catered lunch and learn sessions.
“Each year,” adds VP/Marketing Director Lauren Constantine, “selecting a recipient gives us the opportunity to further connect with and celebrate the local institutions that make our community shine. We are excited to see where this year’s winning business calls home and how it plans to use the prize, and we look forward to working with the business to achieve its goals.”
Completed online applications from business owners in the communities of Billerica, Burlington, Danvers, Lynnfield, Malden, Medford, Melrose, Middleton, North Reading, Peabody, Reading, Saugus, Stoneham, Tewksbury, Wakefield, Wilmington, Winchester, and Woburn will be accepted through April 30’ The winner will be announced on May 9.
