Stoneham, MA (APR 2026) – Recently, StonehamBank VP/Business Development Officer Shawn Kelley and VP/Marketing & Business Development Officer Lauren Constantine presented Stoneham Community Action Network (Stoneham CAN) President Mary Shannon Thomas and Treasurer Jenny Lecoq a donation to support Stoneham CAN’s 2026 efforts.
In seeking the donation for Stoneham CAN, Ms. Lecoq noted that “Rapid community change has increased the need for inclusive spaces and programs that foster connection, shared responsibility, and belonging among residents. Stoneham also faces growing food insecurity alongside limited grocery resources and constrained access to food pantries and free meal programs.” She added that “Stoneham CAN strengthens the town’s social infrastructure by supporting grassroots efforts that bring neighbors together around common goals — improving access to healthy food, caring for public spaces, expanding equitable transportation options, and creating opportunities for meaningful interaction”
Founded in 2015 as a grassroots effort to foster civic engagement and neighborhood vitality, Stoneham CAN has grown into a trusted local organization over the past decade and continues to foster those missions.
“Stoneham CAN’s focus on civic engagement and community connection is a direct tie to our own mission of sustaining and strengthening the lives of everyone in the communities we serve,” notes Ms. Constantine. “Our mission is to give back as much as we can, wherever we can through charitable giving, corporate sponsorships and volunteer efforts, with a goal of making a difference beyond our building every day for the greater good.”
