STONEHAMBANK PRESENTS “CHECK” FOR SHS CHESS CLUB

STONEHAM, MA (February 24, 2022) – StonehamBank’s Steven Clemens, Montvale Branch Bank Specialist, recently presented a donation to the Stoneham High School Chess Club.  In its request to the Bank, the students explained that they were in need of additional chess sets and timers for an upcoming tournament. The request noted that students regularly play Chess in the school library before school starts and the Club anticipated a large number of players for the event.

“Extracurricular activities are a key aspect of a high school student’s social engagement,” noted StonehamBank CEO Edward F. Doherty, Jr. “We are excited that SHS students are learning new skills and sportsmanship with such a classic game and we are happy to be asked to support their efforts.”
